FOUNDER & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Allen Huntspon is a three-time Emmy®-nominated Executive Producer and Director, two-time Peabody Award-winning journalist, and a live broadcast technical director, recognized for overseeing unscripted productions across journalism, culture, and branded entertainment. As the Founder and CEO of One Story Media Group, he brings institutional rigor, cultural fluency, and creative leadership to programming spanning streaming, digital, and cable.

Allen has 20 years of experience producing hundreds of hours of television across live news, documentary, and premium nonfiction. He is best known for directing Street Somm, the Daytime Emmy® and James Beard-nominated television series currently streaming on Netflix, and for his work across CNN's most influential programming divisions, including Larry King Live, CNN Presents, and CNN Newsroom.

Allen began his career at Larry King Live, producing live broadcast programming, overseeing editorial video selection, and managing music rights clearance in coordination with BMI and ASCAP. During his tenure, he produced landmark documentaries including Black in America and co-created CNN’s first original reality format. As a writer-producer for CNN's flagship anchors, he scripted live global coverage across politics, sports, legal cases, and pivotal cultural moments, including initiating CNN's coverage of the death of Trayvon Martin. His journalism and documentary work from this period earned recognition from the News & Documentary Emmy® Awards, Peabody Awards, NAACP Image Awards®, New York Festivals TV & Film Awards, the New York Association of Black Journalists, and the GLAAD Media Awards.

Building on that foundation, Allen joined the original creative team that launched VICELAND the TV channel at VICE Media, directing long-form documentary and original interstitial programming recognized by the Primetime Emmys®, Global Entertainment Marketing Academy, and GLAAD Media Awards. He later led branded entertainment at ATTN:, overseeing premium nonfiction and cultural storytelling for global brand partners across digital platforms. His directing credits include the Streamy Award-nominated Finding Home in America for Zillow, a Shorty Award-winning Alzheimer’s awareness campaign with CAA, and directed a Lyft and Wieden+Kennedy-produced series that raised thousands for nonprofit organizations tackling college student hunger and youth aging out of foster care. During this period, he also produced live election and inauguration coverage for BET, directed an original branded talk series for Universal Pictures, and served as Supervising Producer at YouTube Originals, where his credits included Issa Rae’s Bear Witness, Take Action 3, recognized by Beyoncé’s BeyGOOD Foundation, and Tastemade Studios’ A New Green Book.

A graduate of Morehouse College, Allen brings a distinct point of view shaped by journalism, culture, and impact-driven storytelling that consistently resonates with audiences worldwide.
